My Weight Loss StoryPosted 04/02/2007: I had been a long distance runner in high school, but that was 50 pounds and 14 years prior. Using my car, I mapped out a 1.8 mile loop in town. The plan was to walk 5 minutes, run 5 minutes, alternating until I was done. This was to take place 6 times a week. BAD IDEA! By the second week, my knees were hurting so bad that I had to stop for a week. I was pushing my body way too hard. Once I slowed down to 5 days a week and stopped pushing myself so hard, I was able to slowly build up my stamina and my knees. More to come…. |
